Chemo #3 (R-CHOP): Sep.23rd, 2020- Sep. 24th, 2020

Updated: Sep 25, 2022

3 down, 3 to go! Halfway complete! Yayyyy. I would say that this round went pretty well too. The only new observation I had was how much quicker the side effects kicked in. A few hours after I completed my chemo, I already started to feel extremely fatigued which didn't happen in the previous two rounds. My face looked so pale and no amount of makeup could cover the fact that I looked sick.

The following days were better because my energy levels came back. I didn't even take a single nap which was a pleasant surprise. I haven't felt this energetic in such a long time even during my pre-cancer life.I felt great. I was eating a lot and working out. I felt almost normal apart from the neuropathy that I was experiencing in my fingers and toes.

My biggest struggle was my mental wellbeing. No matter how strong I tried to keep it together for my friends and family, I would break down and question: "Why me? What the fuck did I do to deserve this?" It hit me quite often this time. I guess this was what drove me to start blogging as an outlet to get things off my chest. For this round, I would rate my overall experience 6.5/10.
