Chemo #5 (R-CHOP): Nov.9th, 2020- Nov. 10th, 2020

Updated: Sep 25, 2022

5 down, 1 to go! One step closer to the finish line. I would say that this round was fairly similar to the second round. I didn't get mouth sores this time but my mouth was very dry with a strong metallic taste. I was constantly hydrating myself with lots and lots of water but no matter how much I drank, I still had this disgusting taste. In a way, I became a "Waterholic" lol.

The nausea was still there and I still struggled to eat a proper meal in the first few days. So I stuck with fluids and soups. One thing that I noticed was that I have this strong "hospital smell" all over my body. This smell literally made me feel sick to my stomach. No matter how much I showered, it won't go away. I guess it's coming from the chemo. I also felt extremely tired compared to the previous two rounds that I ended up taking more naps than usual. The recovery period also took a bit longer so I didn't have enough normal recovery days to enjoy some normality. But just when you are starting to feel better, the next chemo is already around the corner :( Whyyyy!!!

So overall, I would rate my experience a 6.5/10.
